Black Caps in Gray?? And playing Baseball??

The New Zealanders did a rewind in the match against Sri Lanka, wearing the gray strip donned by the team in the 1992 World Cup. Twenty20 has seen a revival of yesteryear outfits, both the Aussies and the Black Caps had put on their original World Series uniforms in their first Twenty20 international.

Meanwhile, New Zealand debutant wicket-keeper Peter McGlashan also wore a baseball helmet while standing up to the medium pacers, perhaps a first in international cricket. However, maybe the outfielders should have used mitts instead, as two catches were dropped of the bowling of Shane Bond within the six overs that the Kiwis bowled.
